Home burglary, cash and jewelry stolen

MEADOWS, LKR. ASCHAFFENBURG. In the course of the past week, a hitherto unknown person has forcibly gained entry to a residential building. The perpetrator stole valuables and escaped undetected. The investigation has taken over the Kripo Aschaffenburg.

During the absence of the residents, between Sunday 12:00 p.m. and Thursday 5:00 p.m., the stranger pried open a patio door and thus got into the property on Sommerweg. He stole thousands of dollars in cash and jewelry.

The Aschaffenburg criminal police have now taken over the investigation and are hoping for witnesses on Tel. 06021/857-1733.

In connection with burglaries, the Lower Franconian police again give the following tips on how to behave:

  • Lock windows, balcony and terrace doors even if you are away for a short time.
  • Caution: tilted windows are open windows and can easily be opened by burglars.
  • Don’t just pull the door shut, but always lock it twice – even if you only leave the house or apartment for a short time.
  • Never leave your house or apartment key outside. Burglars know every hiding place!
  • Roller shutters should be closed at night and, if possible, not during the day. You don’t want to signal your absence at first glance.
