The Russian occupiers are trying to show the tangible results of their actions this summer. Therefore, favorable conditions are now being prepared for this. More about this 24 Kanala said Nikolai Melnik, an officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, holder of the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky.

The main task of the Russians
Russian troops are having difficulty maintaining their strength in Semyonovka and Berdychi in the Donetsk region due to the greater capabilities of Ukrainian drones. However, they intensified their efforts west of Bakhmut to capture Hourly Yar. In fact, the other day the Russians reported that they had already captured the city. However, this information was denied by both the General Staff and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky.
The Russians have one goal for themselves – preparing bridgeheads for a future offensive. In the summer, the Russians will try to strike in the direction of Pokrovsk and Slavyansk in order to drive the Ukrainian Armed Forces out of the Donetsk region. They need this in order to show at least some “SVO” results,
– Nikolai Melnik noted.

That is why the Russian occupiers are preparing bridgeheads for attacks, but attracting rather limited forces. The fact is that the fighting continues along the entire line of contact, because the Russians wanted to disperse Ukrainian forces so that they also could not concentrate their reserves in one direction.
“The Russians are trying to attack either Mikhailovka, Chasov Yar, or Serebryansky forestry. They are gradually transferring their forces and trying to improve their tactical position. It cannot be said that our defense system is total and indestructible. If we talk about Rabotino, the Russians calmly enter there, but they do not have the strength to consolidate,” explained an officer of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
It must be recognized that the Russians have the strength to advance, however, now they do not have enough strength to gain a foothold. This is largely due to the work of Ukrainian UAVs. That is, the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ drones can partially compensate for the shell shortage in the artillery. But this, Melnik argues, will not always be the case. After all, the occupiers are also ramping up production of FPV drones.
