The emblem of the bTV news show Yuksel Kadriev collects nearly 6 grand a month from private television, but despite this, he has no intention of splashing money on expensive properties and accommodation. Therefore, 10 years ago, he settled on a municipal apartment, for which he pays only BGN 93 per month. The change of power in Sofia, however, will lead to the greatest humiliation in the journalist’s life.
According to the decision of the Court of Appeal – Sofia Kadriev must leave the municipal housing within 1 month in order to give it to people in real need. The court has decided that his salary is good enough to afford a normal apartment, especially since his daughter is already an adult and does not live with him, writes in “Weekend”.
Yuksel was currently living in the almost free home with his girlfriend. Just the two of them spread out in a spacious apartment in the elite capital district “Borovo”.
In order to try to save himself from having his right to use the property suspended, Kadriev has presented a bunch of evidence to the judicial institution that he is actually not in a prosperous situation. It is clear from the data in the case that the father of the presenter – Femi Kadriev, recently came to the capital because he is sick and needs specialized treatment.
Yuksel also presented to the court a letter from his employers at bTV, certifying his salary income for the previous calendar year. It is clear from it that for the previous 12 months he received a total of BGN 69,912 for his position as host of the media’s central news program.
Yuksel was downright furious that they were asking him to leave an apartment with a monthly rent of only 93 leva to move somewhere where they would ask him at least 2 grand for such square footage. Although he earned almost 6 grand a month, Kadriev did not agree to give half of it for accommodation and bills. It is said that he has so far flatly refused to take any measures for deportation.
