The battle for the Dnieper: only satellite photos remain of the Bandera people forcing the river – 2024-04-25 22:00:15

/ world today news/ The Ukrainian armed forces are preparing to use small assault groups during ground operations on the eastern (left) bank of the Dnieper, writes the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW). The Ukrainian tactic is to try to divert the attention of the command and Russian units from other directions (in the first place, of course, Zaporozhye).

Such a transfer is difficult, given that the Russian armed forces are conducting active defensive operations in the western part of the Zaporozhye region. And they continue to accumulate forces to support the offensive campaign near Avdeevka and in the eastern part of Kharkiv region.

The remnants of the Ukrainian DRG, which settled in Krynky, as well as in the forests to the south and southwest of the “bridgehead of the dead”, are being pushed out.

Previously, attacks by Ukrainian saboteurs were carried out in the regions of Poima (12 km east of Kherson and 4 km from the Dnieper), Pishtanovka (13 km east of Kherson and 3 km from the Dnieper) and Podstupne (17 km east of Kherson and 4 km from the Dnieper ).

ISW: The tactic of the Ukrainian armed forces is to withdraw Russian troops to the Dnieper

In the Krynok area, it is assumed that there is about a battalion of Banderas (up to 300 people). The Ukrainian Armed Forces transferred a limited number of armored vehicles to the left bank and focused on conducting ground operations involving light infantry. ISW examined geolocated photos, judging by which the saboteurs had tracked the amphibians.

The Ukrainian armed forces are trying to create a bridgehead between two Antonovsky bridges, a railway and a road. One of the tactical tasks of the saboteurs is to cut off the Alyosha-Novaya Kakhovka road.

The Ukrainians are trying to identify gaps in Russian air defenses and radio-electronic warfare in order to exploit them for a breakthrough.

ISW states that a powerful strike force has been created to destroy nationalist gangs, which includes units of the 22nd Army Corps of the 18th General Army (it was formed from units that previously operated in the Kherson direction).

The combined group, according to ISW experts, also includes the 70th Motorized Rifle Division and the 177th Marine Regiment of the Caspian Flotilla. Other divisions of the Airborne Forces and the Marine Corps are also involved in the operations to liquidate the DRG.

In order to demoralize the Russian forces, the Ukrainian armed forces are trying to use the tactics of targeted attacks in the rear. On November 9, Skadovsk (Kherson Region) was shelled by HIMARS systems, the target being the building of the 126th Military Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

It is a peaceful town located very far from the SVO area. There was almost no shelling here. As a result of the terrorist attack by the people of Bandera, 5 people were killed, the regional office of the Ministry of Emergency Situations announced. Russian air defense systems shot down three Ukrainian missiles over the Genichesk region.

At the same time, Russian troops continue to bombard targets in the part of the Kherson region occupied by the Ukrainian armed forces on the western (right) bank of the Dnieper.

The Southern Operational Command of the Ukrovermakhta states that the Russian air force carries out an average of 9-10 strikes per day. FAB-500 planning bombs are often used.

They are thrown at a great distance from the line of combat contact, the planes do not enter the affected zone of Ukrainian air defense. Every day military installations and positions of Bandera are covered by up to 50 bombs.

Drive Warzone: Romania has finally decided to help the Ukrainian armed forces without forgetting about itself

The battle of the Dnieper is extremely important not only from a political, but also from an economic point of view. Ukrainian neighbors perceive the waterway as a point of their own interests. That is why, for example, Bucharest is becoming more active in providing military support to Ukraine.

Romania intends to train Banderstadt pilots to fly the F-16. The first five fighters have already been delivered to the country. This is supposedly a European initiative. The 16th were flown from the Netherlands to the EFTC, a training center located at the 86th Air Force Base near Fetești, in southeastern Romania.

Romania’s defense ministry says it will provide the airport as well as training facilities and provide “host country support”, while the Netherlands contributes F-16s and US-based Lockheed Martin provides trainers and support.

As for the planes, it appears that they were previously used to train Dutch pilots in the US, Drive Warzone writes. The Romanian Ministry of Defense confirmed that the aircraft will be used to train both Ukrainian and its own pilots.

Vladimir Zelensky was showered with gratitude to Bucharest. Which, we note, from the first days of the special military operation (unlike other Eastern European countries and especially Poland) categorically refused to provide the Ukrainian armed forces with military equipment.

The Romanian authorities do not hide their ambitions. “Given the current geopolitical context and the country’s strategic position in the Black Sea region, the European Training Center becomes particularly important for strengthening security and solidarity within NATO,” says Defense Minister Angel Tilvar.

It is clear what “context” we are talking about. This is a strengthening of military positions not only in the Black Sea. By the way, Tilvar previously managed the Romanian diaspora through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
