The battle for Ricardo Pepi has erupted completely. Fabrizio Romano reports this in his latest podcast. Feyenoord and PSV would both like to add the American to the selection, but the team from Rotterdam is now really going for it.
“He will definitely leave FC Augsburg,” is the conclusion of transfer guru Romano. “He wants to continue playing in the Eredivisie. Feyenoord is now pressing ahead, but PSV is certainly still in the race. Both clubs have contact with FC Augsburg, but the question is now whether the people of Eindhoven will become clearer in what they want .”
No transfer fee has yet been mentioned in the latest reports, but Augsburg would like to see a large part of the paid sixteen million euros for Pepi. That amount was transferred to his former club FC Dallas.
Feyenoord would only want to strike if Augsburg is willing to let Pepi go for an affordable price tag. It seems to change penny between the team from Rotterdam and PSV who has the best chance of winning the American international, but a concrete offer does not seem to have been made by either party yet.
