On September 17, the Ukrainian armed forces liberated the village of Klishchiivka near Bakhmut. The Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated 7.2 square kilometers of territory from Russian occupation last week, Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Hanna Malyara announced on Monday.
Of these, two square kilometers have been cleared in the direction of Bahmut, and 5.2 square kilometers in the south of the country, Maliara said on television.
She added that since the beginning of the counterattack, 51 square kilometers of territory have been liberated in the direction of Bahmut, and more than 260 square kilometers of territory in the south of the country.
