Huge flames broke out against the Plovdiv Traffic Police, where the battlefield is located, Maritsa has learned. On Sunday, the alash-verish is boiling there, and the Roma from Sheker Mahala are selling whatever they can find. The usual view of the Russian market are fires and smoke – so the sellers of stalls on the ground warm in the cold.
Today, however, the situation is out of control and the flames have grown dangerously. A firefighter arrived on the scene. “The thick black smoke can be seen from the St. Petersburg Hotel. There was a fire station on site. The flames are very high, something big is burning,” wrote our reader who passed through the place.
Many of the battlefield’s regular customers were frightened by the blaze and moved away to a safe distance. “Everything is burning there. Sometimes it will be a huge disaster,” commented our reader, who sent us a video of the situation minutes ago.
Thick black smoke is still billowing. The whole area is in a fog.
