Having won the hearts of thousands of visitors with its immersive exhibitions, the Bassins des Lumières invites you this time to set out to conquer the stars. Developed in collaboration with the National Center for Space Studies (CNES), this night exhibition will run from 21 October to 19 November 2022.
Les Bassins des Lumières: 26 evenings to discover the immensity of the universe
The “Destination Cosmos” exhibition will take you on a journey through the solar system using extraordinary images provided by CNES, NASA and ESA. During 26 evenings, you will immerse yourself in a labyrinth of planets, stars, supernovae and nebulae. This unique journey will make you live an exceptional adventure! It will begin in the heart of the Guyana rainforest and end at the edge of the universe. From Monday to Saturday, 5:15 pm to 9:30 pm, visitors will be able to witness early peoples’ stargazing and the Apollo 11 moon landing before traversing the Martian canyons with the rovers or flying over the rings of Saturn.
“Destination Cosmos” mixes image and music for an intense spatial immersion. After a successful period at the Atelier des Lumières in Paris and the Carrières des Lumières in Baux-de-Provence, “Destination Cosmos” comes to sublimate the Bassins des Lumières and surprise its visitors.
