There were strong reactions to Ukrainian war refugees being placed in barracks on industrial plots in Groruddalen this spring. “Shameful”, stated several local politicians. “Unworthy”, architectural researchers thought.

The barracks solution, which the operator company Hero had offered in collaboration with the barracks company Room2rent, was no less controversial when the barrack rig on Furuset was immediately closed following an inspection in April.
