The Barcelona metropolitan area will not go to phase 1. This was announced by the Minister of Health, Salvador Illa, at a press conference with the director of the Center for Coordination of Health Alerts and Emergencies, Fernando Simón, who reported on the provinces and territories that have passed to phase 1 for this Monday, May 18.
As for the rest of the Catalan regions, Health has approved that Girona, Lleida and the central area of Catalonia can go on to the next phase starting on May 18. Last Friday, May 8, the Ministry already allowed Terres de l’Ebre, Camp de Tarragona and Alt Pirineu y Arán to pass to phase 1.
