So far, they are closed in the Olomouc barber shop, as well as in other salons. However, the first customers are already waiting on Monday, and strict hygiene measures are to come with them.
“We are trying to find a way. Twice a week there will be testing of barbers with antigen tests, we will want clients to be tested too. There will be a respirator, a spacing will be observed,” explains owner Richard Laně.
They think similarly elsewhere. “We’ve been waiting for a year and nothing is happening. At the moment, we want to take as many measures as possible, but we want to open up. confided the owner of Barbershop Žaneta Kaiserová.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade Karel Havlíček (for YES), however, the opening of salons is illegal at the moment. Despite the observance of strict hygienic rules, according to experts, entrepreneurs will not avoid fines.
“If the state of emergency persists, then the barbershops will violate several measures, which will probably remain the same as today, and they would be threatened with tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of sanctions,” warns lawyer Ondřej Dostál.
But companies that are about to open up anticipate such a risk. In addition, their customers face fines. But some people are not discouraged.
According to the Association of Hairdressers, the illegal reopening of a barber shop is not the answer. “Of course, we must not open up. We must act in accordance with the law,” says the chairman of the board of directors of the association, Václav Pražák. The hairdressers’ association will now appeal to Minister Havlíček and will want a clear date when the salons could open.
