The Covid-19 pandemic continues to spread in France. In the past 24 hours, 657 new patients have been admitted to hospital, bringing the total number of patients currently hospitalized to 24,780. Taking into account outings, 322 additional people have been taken care of since the day before.
Of these, 2,665 are currently being treated in intensive care or critical care units with 101 new admissions recorded in the past 24 hours, says Public Health France. Between the exits and the entrances of the intensive care units, 33 additional beds are occupied compared to Saturday.
116 deaths have been recorded in hospitals over the past 24 hours, a figure down from the previous day when 157 deaths had been recorded. In total, including the people who died in nursing homes or nursing homes, 65,037 have succumbed to the coronavirus since the arrival of the pandemic in France.
