Thousands of bank accounts were spied on by an Intesa Sanpaolo employee, now fired on the spot and under investigation. Among the most well-known names among those spied on are the faces of the government: the prime minister Giorgia Melonihis sister Ariannathe former partner of the prime minister Andrea Giambrunoi ministri Daniela Santanché e Guido Crosetto. The ongoing investigation is revealed by Tomorrow.
The official – whose name or role is not revealed – was fired (last August 8), but risks a lot, having violated rules on privacy and the secrecy of hypersensitive data.
The investigation is by the Bari prosecutor’s office and comes after months in which Italy has seen a lot of spying, hacking and dossiers.

The dossier case

Crosetto had reported the publication of information covered by secrecy against him and from there it was discovered that over the years the finance officer had carried out tens of thousands of accesses to confidential data banks (in search of SOS, Reports of suspicious transactions , tax returns) paid by politicians, entrepreneurs and entertainment personalities.
Garbatella’s hacking
A completely different case is that of Carmelo Miano, the 24-year-old hacker capable of violating the servers of the Ministry of Justice, of judicial offices throughout Italy but also of companies such as Tim, Telespazio and Guardia di Finanza. In his archive there are also files covered by investigative secrecy.
A very different case, it was said, because Miano’s objective was to defend the treasure of 5 million euros in cryptocurrencies earned on the drug black markets. But adding all these precedents is confirmation that the privacy and data security of Italian citizens can be violated very easily. A huge technological problem, in the Italy of 2024.
The target of the banker under investigation
