The band Stratovarius saved Ostrava in flames with great success, which lost its main star – Novinky

It is difficult to say how the organizers managed to do it, but it can be considered a piece of hussar with a large amount of organizers who found a suitable replacement for the band UDO, who ended up in the hospital the day before festival, in a few hours. luck And even more importantly since the day before Stratovarius gave a concert in Sardinia. But it worked.

The atmosphere at the concert on Saturday showed how grateful the fans are to the Finns for taking the thorn out of the organizers’ heels. For this, the band served them like Black Diamond, Unbreakable, Hunting High and Low or the latest Glory Days on a golden plate and they left with a big shout.

Beast in Black also left a good impression. Their music openly embraces eighties pop influences, sometimes sounds like disco in metal arrangements (just listen to the new single Power of the Beast), but fans love it just because direct and as subtle as it is. In this genre, no progression is played.

Lovers of honest rock and roll with a blues flavor were delighted with Phil Campbell and The Bastard Sons. The guitarist, closely associated with the band Motörhead, gave samples of his latest work, but there were also two Motörhead songs and even a cover of David Bowie’s iconic heroes.

Among the finds at the festival was a performance by the Dutch Blackbriar, whose main character is the singer Zara Cocková, whose voice is very similar to the legendary Kate Bush. A touch of exoticism was introduced by the band Dark Phantom, who traveled all the way from distant Iraq. The usual show was played by the Dutch-Ukrainian Amalgama, and the local scene was adequately represented by the hard rock band Adobre from Ostrava and the proven group Forrest Jump.

Ostrava in flames has no ambitions to be as big as Vizovice’s Masters of Rock. Before that, the festival was a two-day event, but the organizers eventually returned to a one-day format. It’s just enough for them, and so are the fans. But the purpose of the event is still – honest metal, and therefore to bring hard rock music under the blast furnaces that were fired. Nothing more, nothing less.
