The band Sto zvířat made Ledárny Braník a musical paradise

On Thursday evening, the band was occupied by a somewhat frightening name, but with the entirely positive music of One Hundred Animals. Last year, it celebrated thirty years of existence with the release of the album 30 Years Tested on Humans. This year, but for obvious reasons, he finally got back on the podium.

She did so in a modified line-up. It immediately accepted three new members, guitarist Jakub Červinka, bassist Jan Neruda and drummer Jakub Nývlt. On stage, she was lined up in two lines. In the front, the “old guard” was represented in full armor and full of musical and life experience, led by singer Jana Jelínková and singer and percussionist Honza Kalina, in the back were newcomers and occasionally singing keyboardist Petr Hostinský.

The band Sto zvířat presented itself in Ledárny Braník in great shape.

In addition to years of proven songs, there were also those from the current album. The song Rodinný foto even premiered, the band rehearsed it for a concert before the evening concert right on the stage. It is said that he no longer likes to rehearse in the rehearsal room, as Kalina pointed out during the concert.

Fresh blood in the set testifies to her. The change in her sound is not obvious to listen to. The young men took on their parts responsibly and with professional confidence, so that the formation maintained its ferocity and playfulness, and they also added enthusiasm, which certainly infected other members in the positive sense of the word. Guitarist Červinka even received applause for several of his solos on the open stage.

A characteristic feature of the Sta zvířat concerts are the very funny tales of Honza Kalina between the songs, the cheerful dances of the musicians and the joy that comes from their performance. Already in the first presented song, she inspired the present about a thousand spectators to behave exactly the same under the stage. And so a concert took place in Ledárny Braník, from which the spectators, and perhaps even the band, carried a positive experience on the tram and then home.

But leaving right after him was out of place. The area offered a video disco silenced so that the music did not disturb the surroundings, lots of drinks, food and space for new meetings, as is usually the case at concerts. And because it was a warm night, it certainly came in handy after a long coronavirus break.
