The ban on the export of diesel fuel was extended in Kazakhstan

The corresponding order was signed jointly with the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Chairman of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Some Issues of the Export of Oil Products from the Territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan”, the ban on the export of diesel fuel was extended.

“Introduce a ban for a period of six months on the export of gasoline, diesel fuel and certain types of petroleum products from the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan by road, with the exception of export in gas tanks,” the order says.

The ban was in effect from January 31 to July 31, 2023. The Interdepartmental Commission on Foreign Trade Policy and Participation in International Economic Organizations decided in July to extend these restrictions.
