Xavi Hernández was delighted that Barça managed to reach an agreement with Ronald Araújo. The coach of the Spanish emblem believes that the central defender will have a long career at the club.
“For us it is a guarantee to have him. Barcelona have central for 10 years or more. It’s getting better. The key to everything was him. He is very happy at Barcelona and I am happy to have him. He is very hardworking, very humble and is a great person. His decision was to stay at Barça and I think it was the right one”, said the coach at a press conference.
Ronald Araújo, 23, will have a deal until 2026 and will have a termination clause valued at €1 billion, as with Ansu Fati and Pedri.
