Seville was the scene of clashes between West Ham fans and Eintracht Frankfurt. The Germans, remember, faced Betis this Wednesday, while the English visit Julen Lopetegui’s team this Thursday, in the first leg of the round of 16 of the Europa League.
Despite UEFA putting the games on different days to avoid clashes, the measure had no effect. The cheerleaders from the two clubs met in the city center and got involved in a skirmish that forced the police to intervene. See the video:
