Varzim announced on Monday that the sale of tickets for the match against Benfica in the 4th round of the Portuguese Cup has already started, and in a first phase it will be exclusive to club poveiro members.
On social media, Varzim also adds that he will ban the presence of Benfica props – flags, scarves, stripes,… – in the stands intended for home team fans.
In the previous round, we recall, Varzim was the great ‘tomb-giant’ of the Cup by eliminating Sporting, while Roger Schmidt’s team had difficulty overcoming Caldas, coming from Liga 3, on penalties.
