Flamengo, coached by Paulo Sousa, achieved, this Sunday, an important triumph, winning the Rio de Janeiro derby against Fluminense, by 2-1, counting for the 8th round of the Brasileirão.

With Maracanã full, it was Fluminense, who played as a visitor, to open the scoring, through Germán Cano, in the 10th minute. At 34′, with a shot from outside the area, midfielder Andreas Pereira restored the tie and Fla’s winning goal appeared in the second half, with Gabigol, at 57′, completing the comeback. With 12 points, Flamengo climbed to 7th place.

Corinthians, by Vítor Pereira, lost the lead to Palmeiras, by Abel Ferreira, the new first classified in the Brasileirão due to the better goal difference.

Playing at home, Timão was losing to América Mineiro (goal by Aloísio, at 67′) but managed to minimize damage with a goal from Mosquito (82′). It was the third straight tie for the São Paulo team in the competition.
