According to the United States Geological Survey, quoted by the Associated Press news agency, the epicenter of the earthquake was recorded 139 kilometers northwest of Montego Bay, Jamaica, and 140 kilometers southwest of Niquero (Cuba).

The epicenter took place at a depth of 10 kilometers – there is still no information on registering victims or material damage.
