The disciplinary commission of the Portuguese Football Federation confirmed, this Friday, the punishment of a one-match ban on Petit, following the expulsion of the Boavista coach in the match with Académico de Viseu, for the quarter-finals of the League Cup .
In addition to the suspension of the game, Petit will have to pay a fine of 1,632 euros, considering that he “used offensive, insulting or offensive gestures and/or language, telling the referee [João Pinheiro]: ‘open your eyes, always sleep’.”
The coach will thus miss Boavista’s last match in 2022, against Estoril, scheduled for 29 December.
