Winger Geny Catamo, 20, is the next diamond in Rúben Amorim’s bets.
The winger (who made his debut in Mozambique at just 17 years old) had a meteoric rise, in August 2020 he was one of Rúben Amorim’s biggest surprises in pre-season work and since then he has never ceased to be under the leonine coach’s eye.
The B team and the under-23s have been the spaces where it has evolved, but the future, in the short term, will be the main team. He has worked with the squad on several occasions, was called up several times, but has not yet left the bench of substitutes (this was the case against Gil Vicente).
