THE BALL – Supporters are not expected to play in the Cup final (Portuguese Cup)

After it was known that there will be an audience in the last round of the League and in the final of the Champions League, there was an expectation to know if the same could happen with the final of the Portuguese Cup, scheduled for the 23rd between Benfica and SC Braga, in Coimbra. Besides, the red ones asked for it even earlier.

However, the Minister of State and the Presidency, Mariana Vieira da Silva, said that the presence of the public is no longer expected.

“The only prediction of test events is the games of the last round of the I League,” he said during the press conference that followed the Council of Ministers.

«What will happen on the last day of this championship is a test event, we cannot say that there will be a return to the stadiums. They are a set of test events that, as the stadiums have different characteristics, will be held in all those where there will be games on the last day. It is nothing more than that. There have been test events of a different nature and in other activities, ”he said.

«The Government has not defined specific rules for any of these events. There is a procedure when there are events outside of normal events, which involves contact with the security forces, with the health authorities, with the municipalities », he added.
