The triumph over Santa Clara meant, for Sérgio Conceição, the 188th time that the coach won a game for FC Porto and, with this number, he surpassed the historic Artur Jorge (187 victories), coach who led the blues and whites to winning their first European Cup, in 1986/87, beating Bayern Munich 2-1 in Vienna.
Sérgio Conceição is now the second coach in the history of the dragons with the highest number of victories, surpassed (for now) only by the legendary José Maria Pedroto, who won 214 matches.
The former Portuguese international and current helmsman of what is the only team without defeats in the current edition of the League is, therefore, 26 wins away from equaling Pedroto, one of the best Portuguese coaches of all time.
