THE BALL – SC Braga leaves Belenenses SAD increasingly in the background (see summary) (Liga)

The afflicted Belenenses SAD received, at Jamor, SC Braga, in a match in which the blues ended up with two less elements on the field and lost with a goal conceded in the 90th minute.

The second half was much better than the first, with emphasis on Francisco Moura’s failure, at 11 minutes, after an excellent job by Rodrigo Gomes, on the left, with Luiz Felipe defending forward and, in the rebound, the number 74 shot, in the small area, to the side. Belenenses SAD responded, on 31′, with Cafú Phete shooting with his left foot, inside the penalty area, slightly to the side.

SC Braga ended up being a fair winner given the clear goalscoring opportunities in the second stage. At 63′, Vitinha put the ball in Luiz Felipe’s goal, but the goal was disallowed for offside. On Belenenses’ side, Afonso Sousa (55′) and Francisco Teixeira (68′) hit the bars.

The game was marked by the expulsion of Sandro, in the 83rd minute, seven minutes after being launched in the game, for a hard tackle on André Horta. It was an ax for the blues, who, outnumbered, saw SC Braga score, in the 90th minute, by Ricardo Horta. At 90+4′, after an unreasonable tackle on Yan Couto (he left the pitch very complaining and in tears), Yaya Sithole was also sent off.

Belenenses SAD remains at the bottom of the league table, with 25 points, five less than Arouca, which occupies the last place that guarantees maintenance.
