SC Braga received and beat Boavista by 1-0, this Saturday night, and thus put pressure on Benfica before tomorrow’s derby between the eagles, who lead the table, and Sporting, at Estádio da Luz, for the 16th matchday of the League.
The arsenal players, in second place, with 34 points, are now just three points behind Benfica, having also moved away from FC Porto, who are four points behind playing this Sunday with Famalicão, in Dragão.
After the moralized triumph against V. Guimarães, in which they turned the score around and ensured continuity in the Portuguese Cup, Braga received a competent and courageous Boavista during the 1st half, but the restart of the match was decisive. At just seven seconds, a pass from Bruno to Abascal did not work and was very well used by Vitinha to score the goal, solving the challenge and showing himself to Roberto Martínez, the new coach of Portugal who was on the bench watching the game.
