Former teammate of Pablo Sarabia at Sevilla, Daniel Carriço welcomed the Spaniard’s arrival in Alvalade (on loan from PSG), noting that the latest Leo reinforcements proved their worth wherever he went.
«More than an excellent teammate, he is a great friend. He’s a proven player in La Liga, in the French league, and then in PSG, which is a team full of stars, and now also in the national team,” said the central defender to A BOLA, praising the striker: “At PSG he was not so regular, but even so, in a team like PSG, he showed that he has quality, he is a player with a lot of goals and decisive in the last meters. He’s very vertical, decisive with assists and goals, he can play as a winger, second striker and even striker.”
Analyzing the Spanish international from an opponent’s perspective, he confessed that it is not easy to control his movements. “He’s one of those players that bothers the defenders a lot, gives a lot of depth to the game, it’s very difficult to score, it made everyone work, it demanded a lot from all of us, defenders”, he recalled.
