Rui Fontes was appointed yesterday chairman of the Board of Directors of SAD do Marítimo, replacing João Luís. In the extraordinary meeting of the SAD, the appointment was approved by the majority of the shareholders present at the meeting whose main point on the agenda was the removal of the former shareholders and the appointment of the new administration, which will now be constituted by the president Rui Fontes, by the vice-presidents Carlos Batista and Nuno Oliveira and by members Nuno Aguiar and Pedro Oliveira.
Rui Fontes was delighted to finally be president of the club and the SAD. «For Marítimo this is the best solution at all levels. What we had before was not the best, ”he stressed.
