Botafogo were on the trail of the 31-year-old striker Rodrigo Pinho, but in Brazil it is guaranteed that Coritiba, who recently signed Portuguese António Oliveira, will already have secured the Benfica player to bolster their attack.
According to Globoesporte, Coritiba finalized the signing of Rodrigo Pinho on Tuesday, who is expected to arrive shortly to sign a two-and-a-half-year deal.
Benfica wanted to sell and Coritiba presented a purchase offer, which was accepted.
Rodrigo Pinho is 31 years old and has played nine games since returning from a lengthy injury.
