Portugal registered an additional 1394 cases of infection and 12 deaths from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.
It is the second day with the most cases since the pandemic began, after the 1516 that occurred on April 10.
It is the first time that there has been a record of two consecutive days with more than a thousand cases in the country, having seen 1278 new infections on Thursday.
According to the epidemiological bulletin of the Directorate-General for Health (DGS), released this Friday, the total number of infected is now 83,928 and the number of deaths in 2062.
