THE BALL – PlayStation Plus: April’s free games are here (Games)

April 6 is the date that matters. Yes, by chance it is also the first day of the gradual deflation that the evolution of the Covid-19 pandemic allows, but all gamers know, it is much more than that: it is the date that marks the arrival of April PlayStation Plus games.

The moment the doors of the street can open again so that, little by little – and with great care – we can leave again, here are several good reasons to stay at home…

Announced on March 30, there are three titles that PlayStation offers, free of charge, for more than 47 million users of the Plus service to add to the library by May 3, and download to their consoles.

Days Gone perhaps it will be the most acclaimed. Released less than a year ago (on April 26, 2020) this title developed by SIE Bend Studio and released by Sony Interactive Entertainment transports us to the volcanic desert of the northwest of the USA, where an open world of adventure awaits us in which we dress the skin of a bounty hunter named Deacon St. John, who opts for a life of risk on the road.

With the world plunged into a pandemic, the game ended up gaining momentum, as its story takes place two years after a global pandemic has practically wiped out humans, turning millions into an animal with no conscience, called Freakers. An adventure full of adrenaline and a lot of survival instinct…

Zombie Army 4: Dead War it’s a game of (surprise, surprise…) zombies! After the resistance sends Hitler Zombie to hell, the dead return to the charge, with even more strength and appetite.

This First Person Shooter allows you to play in campaign mode with up to 4 players, transporting you to Europe in the 1940s. We are called to fight to save humanity, with the weapons of World War II. Shots, shots and more shots, explosions, dead people who don’t even die under the law of the bullet … and a lot of emotion, this is what awaits us.

Also available will be Jade’s Ascension, a game developed under the PlayStation Talents initiative, which aims to stimulate the creation of games by independent studios and young programmers.

If these three games for PlayStation 4 will delight most of the community, the lucky ones who have already managed to get their hands on a PlayStation 5 (more and more, as stocks are being replenished from time to time) have reasons for joy again . In addition to Sony continuing to offer the possibility, one more month, to download Destruction AllStars, a battle royale with cars in an arena of destruction and a lot of adrenaline, April brings a big news: Oddworld: Soulstorm a debut that doesn’t even go through physical stores before being distributed free of charge by PS Plus subscribers, a very strong sign – one more – that Sony wants to transport all console owners to its service that allows them to play online.

Oddworld: Soulstorm is the follow-up to New ‘N’ Tasty, the previous title in the series. Abe, our character, forced to be a hero, Abe is a symbol of hope. In this game, we will be faced with the lesson that unity is strength and that alone is impossible, in a group it becomes easier (or less difficult). As a slave in the lowest position of the social building, Abe continues on his way to save his peers. A treat for the eyes, Oddworld: Soulstorm is one of the most anticipated games of the moment. And there it is, free, in the PS5 version, for PS Plus subscribers.

The PS Plus service, in addition to several free games every month, offers the possibility to play online with PlayStation consoles, but also 100 GB of storage in the cloud to record PS4 games. The owners of a PS5, on the other hand, have the added bonus of being able to download the PS4 versions of the following games to their consoles:

Batman: Arkham Knight

Battlefield 1
