Pedro Caixinha’s return to the Santos Laguna bench is not a happy one. The Portuguese coach suffered the second consecutive defeat in the Clausura Tournament (Mexico), this time at his stadium, against Necaxa, and with a rout: 1-4.
In this match of the 3rd round, and after Jordan Carrillo was sent off, the Portuguese coach’s team even opened the scoring, through Félix Torres (36 minutes), but the tie came even before the break, with a goal by Ángelo Araos (45+2′).
The home side’s downfall came in the second half, with Milton Giménez (53′), Dieter Villalpando (76′) and Rodrigo Aguirre (85′) operating the comeback.
Santos Laguna is in 16th place, with just one point, while Necaxa has three, occupying 12th place.
