THE BALL – Peak of the pandemic in Portugal has been postponed until the end of May (Health)

The Minister of Health, Marta Temido, and the general director of Health, Graça Freitas, participated in a press conference to take stock of the evolution of the Covid-19 pandemic in Portugal.

Marta Temido announced that the epidemiological peak of contagion in Portugal was postponed until the end of May, without advancing the week: «The maximum incidence of infection will be postponed until the end of May. This indicates that the containment measures that we have adopted, namely staying at home except to go to work, are being effective. »

The Minister of Health also said that on Friday 24 tons of medical material arrived in Portugal, including surgical masks, respirators, protective suits, boots and visors. Marta Temido added that tests were received to detect the virus infection.
