Benfica announced, this Wednesday, the renewal of Paulo Moreno until 2025. The pivot, 30 years old, maintains the connection to the club he represents for 17 years, when he arrived for the children.
At the time of the renewal, the Cape Verdean international was proud: «It is a great vote of confidence on the part of the entire structure and direction of Benfica. For me, it’s a source of tremendous pride. Everyone knows that I am a Benfica fan, I give my body and soul for this club and the passion I have is in everyone’s eyes.”
Since joining Benfica’s first team, Paulo Moreno has won three Super Cups, two Portuguese Cups and a European League, won last season.
«It was very remarkable, we won a renowned competition, with a great team, which we hope will continue to make history», said the handball players, before looking ahead to the next season: «I have the ambition to win more and more titles. I want to leave my mark on Benfica and handball. That’s what I focus on.”
