After much speculation, confirmation. Barcelona have announced the signing of Xavi Hernández as their new coach, with a two-and-a-half-year contract and scheduled appearance next Monday.
A former player at the club (767 games between 1998 and 2015), the 41-year-old now coach was chosen to succeed Ronald Koeman, returning to a home he left in 2015. With his football career ended in 2019, he spent the last two times in charge of Al Sadd, becoming champion of Qatar last season.
