THE BALL – Neville advises Solskjaer to “be careful” with Ronaldo (Manchester United)

Gary Neville, former Manchester United captain, has been pointing the finger at coach Solskjaer. This time, through the opinion column that he signs on the official website of the Sky Sports, also criticized Cristiano Ronaldo, more specifically for the way he left the pitch after the draw with Everton (1-1), after having been used as a substitute.

“I can’t say I liked it. Does Cristiano get upset when he doesn’t play? Yes. Does Cristiano get upset when he doesn’t score? Yes. Does Cristiano get annoyed like everything else when the team doesn’t win? Clear. We know that. He doesn’t have to prove it. Cristiano is smart enough to know that actions like these will put pressure on the coach even more than what he’s already put under pressure. That’s what it is, but I think it’s something that has to be managed over the next few months,” said the former defender.

And he left some advice to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer: “You have to make sure you manage Cristiano in the right way. I think he’s going to talk to him and say, ‘Look, if we’re going to do this, we’ll do it in the locker room. But Cristiano is not a sheep either. He won’t just follow you and say I wont say anything. He will demonstrate his discontent and his lack of happiness in some situations.”
