Morita, 26, a defensive midfielder who plays for Azorean Santa Clara, is one of Sporting’s goals for the coming seasons and there have already been some moves towards closing the deal, but when everything seemed well underway, the process entered a impasse.
At issue, found A BOLA, may be the way the commissions will be distributed, with Santa Clara having eighty percent of the pass, the remaining 20 belonging to the player’s agent, Hiroyuki Honda.
The player, remember, arrived at Santa Clara in January 2021, at zero cost, having signed at the time a contract valid with the Azoreans until July 2024. With the pass valued by the Transfermarkt website at €4M, the deal with the Sporting can reach €5M through targets, not least because the lions, at an early stage, do not seem willing to advance an amount greater than €2.5M.
At the moment, however, the process is at a standstill, although everyone believes that Santa Clara’s administration will reach an understanding that allows a happy ending to this transfer, not least because the amounts in question would, of course, be very important for the club’s accounts. The next few days will be enlightening.
