Real Madrid’s Champions League conquest seems to have dispelled almost all doubts about the Ballon d’Or favourite.
“I think there is no doubt this year. Benzema had a spectacular season and won the Champions League, he was absolutely decisive from the round of 16 onwards. I have no great doubts that it must be him”, said the Argentine forward, in an interview with TYC Sports.
The French forward ended the season with 44 goals in 46 games and was the top scorer in La Liga (27) and also in the Champions League (15).
The award that rewards the best player of the year will be delivered on October 17, in Paris.
