Former Manchester United midfielder Roy Keane was critical of Harry Maguire’s celebration after his goal in England’s game against Albania. The Manchester United centre-back glided across the pitch with his hands over his ears, a gesture the Irishman did not appreciate.
“He obviously puts his hands up like he’s shushing critics, but I find that embarrassing. He’s been an embarrassment for Manchester United in recent months and thinks that by scoring goals it will ward off criticism… Embarrassing,” Keane shot ITV despite the player from red devils having ensured, after the game, that the celebration did not have a specific target.
