THE BALL – Liverpool draw with Man. City and failed leadership assault before hosting Benfica (England)

Manchester City drew against Liverpool (2-2), on matchday 32 of the Premier League. Bernardo Silva and João Cancelo started in the hosts, with Diogo Jota appearing in the 11 of the reds, who receive Benfica next Wednesday, in the second leg of the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

In a match played at maximum intensity, it was the Portuguese who stood out, being involved in the four goals. Bernardo Silva assisted De Bruyne (5′) and João Cancelo did the same to Gabriel Jesus (36′), goals that put Manchester City ahead. But Liverpool responded both times and always with Diogo Jota in the spotlight: the Portuguese scored in the 13′ and assisted Sadio Mané (46′).

With this draw, everything is equal at the top of the Premier League table. Manchester City lead with 74 points, one more than second-placed Liverpool, with seven games remaining for both sides.
