Bayern Munich went to Friborg to draw two goals, in a match on the 33rd and penultimate round of the Bundesliga. The Polish Robert Lewandowski made history and equaled the mark of Gerd Muller (1971/72), reaching 40 goals in a single season. Bayern’s first goal came from the striker in the 26th minute, with a penalty, but the home team came to a draw by Guide shortly afterwards (29 ‘).
In the second half, Leroy Sané, at 53 ‘, again gave the champion an advantage but Friburgo made it 2-2 by 81’, by Guinter. Lewandowski will thus have the last round (reception to Augsburg) to become the best scorer ever in a season in the Bundesliga.
In the other games of the afternoon, highlight to the surprising defeat of Eintracht Frankfurt at Schalke’s home, by 3-4, in what was only the second victory of the Gelsenkirchen team in the competition. André Silva, once again, stood out for (still) Adi Hutter’s team, scoring two goals: the Portuguese reached 27 in the Bundesliga, a mark that had never been reached by a Frankfurt player in all history. Even so, Eintracht (5th) seriously undermines the aspirations to reach the Champions League, which could fall apart if Borussia Dortmund wins, on this matchday, at Mainz.
