Looking ahead to this Saturday’s meeting (12:30 pm) with Manchester City, Bruno Lage, Wolverhampton coach, was asked what he will say to Bernardo Silva, a player who trained in Benfica’s youth team and who is now the centerpiece of Pep’s team Guardiola.
“I’m going to tell him something like that, if he starts with feints I’ll shoot him in the knee,” joked the Portuguese coach.
More seriously, Lage assured that the wolves are prepared to play eye to eye with the citizens.
“It’s a real test. When you play against teams like Manchester City, you have a great opportunity to show the work we’ve been doing. (…) Be sure of two things: they will have more possession; but when the ball is in our possession we will play our game. We are ready!”
