Manchester United coach Ralf Rangnick said that Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani – who missed the derby against Manchester City – should be available for Saturday’s game against Tottenham at Old Trafford.
Ronaldo has been absent with a hip injury, while Cavani has been out for a month.
There were reports that Ronaldo flew to Portugal when the derby was taking place last Sunday, but Rangnick would not talk about it.
“It makes no sense to look at what happened in the last six or seven days, what is important is what happens tomorrow,” he said.
“I didn’t ask him if he is satisfied in Manchester or at the club. For me the important thing is that he is available and has returned to training», he stressed.
“Cristiano returned to training yesterday. He trained the whole session and I hope he trains today [à tarde] also. I think it will be available for tomorrow. The important thing is that he and Edi are back in training and available for the game”, he commented.
Luke Shaw is still unavailable due to Covid-19.
