Tondela made official, this Thursday, the renewal of the contract with central defender Jota Gonçalves until June 2024.
«I am very happy with this renewal because Tondela has always been a club that has given me the conditions to grow, evolve and has always believed in me a lot since the juniors, still in the training process. They always gave me the conditions I needed, especially this season, which, due to the injury, has been very difficult, but they showed a lot of wanting to stay and renew with me”, declared Jota, who has been out of competition since September last year due to injury, to the club’s official website.
The footballer proved to be even more motivated after signing the new contract: “Without a doubt, this renewal gives me more responsibility because I end up being one of the players who has been with the club the longest and who manages to pass on the values of Tondela and of what it’s like to be Tondela. That’s why I want to continue writing my story at the club.”
Very happy to renew my contract until 2024 and continue my path in the house that saw me grow and gave me the conditions to become the person and player I am today.
