Junior Malek is only 23 years old, but his life is already full of adventures. The Mexican forward was announced this week as a reinforcement for Tepatitlán, from his home country, on a return to the pitch after serving a year and a half in prison.
Then at Santos Laguna, João Malek was accused, in June 2019, of having caused the death of a couple while driving at excessive speed, in Jalisco. Sentenced to a prison term of 3 years, 8 months and 15 days, he ended up leaving after a year and a half after posting a bond of three million pesos (about 143,000 euros).
Once considered a promising youngster, Junior Malek had a spell at FC Porto, where he shone in the service of juniors (21 goals in 41 games). A discreet stint with Sevilla’s B team followed before returning to Santos Laguna in the summer of misfortune.
There are stories that were not born to be told, but to be listened to and learned from.
Today we make a call, so that we do not forget that a bad decision can change our lives
