The same source gives the example of Ousmane Dembélé: the French renewed until 2024 with a contract subject to the new provisions. This is because in the 2019/2020 season the Frenchman played only five league games, having been available for nine games. Despite this, he has participated in half of the matches for which he was available, but from now on Dembélé and the others will only be able to receive bonuses if they play half of Barça’s official matches, regardless of whether they are injured or not. It even happened to receive funds for two million euros even without having played half of the games, including those entered only in the second half.
