Jurgen Klopp was satisfied with the 2-0 victory over Brighton, especially at certain moments, and did not want to get into controversy over the need to send off goalkeeper Robert Sanchez, who had a tough challenge over Luis Díaz when he ended up scoring.
“I have no idea if it was for expulsion, I only saw it once. We had a lot of chances, a lot of counterattacks that we didn’t use, but that’s ok, I don’t want to be too critical of the guys. We deserve to win, that’s all I ask,” she told BT Sport.
The German coach also commented on the Colombian’s goal from FC Porto: «Luis did what a forward should do. I didn’t see a repeat, but it was spectacular enough at first. Going in there was brave, a great goal.”
Mohamed Salah was substituted and the coach spoke in discomfort: “Something wasn’t right, a foot strain, we’ll have to see better.”
