Sporting intends to sign Marcus Edwards from Vitória de Guimarães in this winter market window and this Monday can, so the conversations converge in the same direction, seal the deal.
According to data collected by A BOLA, the presence of Miguel Pinto Lisboa, president of Vitória de Guimarães, is expected today, in Lisbon, to, at the table, together with Sporting’s sports structure, headed by Frederico Varandas, seal the agreement that allows to the 23-year-old English winger to wear green and white from this month.
As A BOLA reported firsthand, Marcus Edwards became Sporting’s priority target in this reopening of the market, seen as a business opportunity for a player who, remember, had long been referenced by the management of SAD leonina.
Vitória wanted to include business players and one of them was a peaceful matter. Bruno Gaspar, Sporting’s right-back, who has represented Guimarães’ team, ended his loan to Vancouver Whitecaps, returned to the Lions but, without entering Amorim’s accounts, showed willingness to move on to Guimarães. The other player that Vitória has liked since the summer is Gonzalo Plata, an Ecuadorian winger on loan from Sporting to Valladolid.
