The Dallas Mavericks qualified this morning for the NBA play-offs after their 114-110 victory over the Toronto Raptors.
Luka Doncic, who reached the 11th triple-double of the season (20 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists), was once again highlighted in the Mavs, who had to resist a final recovery of the opponent: 10 points of the split came to just two, but two free throws converted by Richardson set the scoring.
On the other hand, the Washington Wizards, tenths to the east, guaranteed their presence in the play-inns, by beating the Cleveland Cavaliers by 120-105. Thanks Russell Westbrook, who had a great week. Yesterday he signed another triple-double (21 points, 12 rebounds and 17 assists), after Monday breaking the record of triple-doubles in the NBA regulars, reaching 182.
It is recalled that this year only the teams that finish between the first and the sixth place of each conference are counted directly for the play-offs, while those that finish between the seventh and the 10th place will dispute a ‘play-inn’ ‘which clears the remaining two places.
